Hi, I’m Axel from Tartu (Estonia). I am working at the Department of Estonian and General Linguistics at Tartu University. While still in school it was my dream to study Mongolian but somehow I ended up in Finno-Ugric linguistics instead… 🙂 I do still have a certain ‘nostalgic’ longing for things Mongolian, though. Within these ‘things’ my main focus is probably on the history and culture of Inner/Southern Mongolia in the twenties and thirties.

And I’m looking forward to many more of those interesting talks and discussions like we had yesterday!
